Fortnite will soon be moving on to a new phase as the Wilds will be left behind for something new. The new Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 will be releasing next, after the short-lived Wilds update featuring Optimus Prime.

Fortnite revamps their game very often to keep it fresh and happening. The Wilds Update Season 3 had a lackluster season, as the features were mediocre at best. The jungle biome was either seen as boring or was completely avoided. The Dinosaurs were also not much different from the wolves or boars that were rideable. Therefore, the launch of the next season was hastened, as Season 3 had one of the shortest durations.

Fortnite will soon be getting a new update, which will take the story more towards the unification of the destroyed world. The Wilds update had changed major portions of the map, where several areas got changed to a jungle biome. Several old biomes were also removed and new ones were introduced. However, the excitement soon died down as the gameplay hadn’t changed much since last patch.

The season fell flat for many players, as they hoped for something fresh and unique. However, Season 3 also had its share of highlights. The plants were loved by all players, as they provided some vital utility. Moreover, the invisibility gloves were also fun but a little game breaking.

If the recent announcements are to be taken into account, Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 will be releasing on August 25, 2023 at 12 PM BST. Season 3 will wrap up and players will get to see a brand new version of the game. Players will have to wait for the maintenance to complete before accessing the game. The server downtime generally goes on for 3-4 hours at most.

You can access the game after you download the update from the Epic Games store. However, you can also turn on auto update to download the game as soon as you launch your Epic Games. There are several new collaborations awaiting players in the next update. Doctor Strange and Lego are the two major ones that will likely be released along with Season 4.
