Gen.G Esports, a prominent South Korean organization, has made a significant foray into the competitive realm of PUBG Mobile by signing four seasoned players on January 23, 2024. Renowned for their success in PUBG PC esports since August 2018, Gen.G now sets its sights on conquering the mobile version of this popular battle royale game. The organization’s entry into PUBG Mobile aligns with Krafton’s recent announcement of partnerships with 12 South Korean squads for the 2024 PUBG Mobile season. This collaboration ensures these organizations have direct spots in major tournaments associated with the title in South Korea.

Meet the New Gen.G Esports PUBG Mobile Squad

Gen.G Esports has welcomed five talented athletes to its PUBG Mobile roster:

  1. JUNI (Kim Kyung-jun): An experienced player, JUNI has been active in PUBG Mobile esports since late 2018, making him one of the oldest South Korean players in this landscape. Throughout his five-year career, the 23-year-old veteran has accumulated numerous tournament victories. Notably, he found success while playing for Damwon Gaming in 2022.
  2. Machao (Kim Hyeon-woo): The squad’s lone member not previously recognized, Machao brings a fresh perspective to Gen.G Esports. His inclusion suggests the organization’s commitment to fostering both seasoned talent and rising stars.
  3. Missile (Kim loon-soo): Missile has showcased his skills in both South Korea and Japan, securing victories in major tournaments in both countries. His debut as a PUBG Mobile pro in 2020 marked the beginning of a successful career, including a triumph in the PMSC 1st Half while playing for Xenon Esports.
  4. Sayden (Jeon Min-jae): Formerly a member of Dplus KIA (formerly Damwon Gaming), Sayden boasts an impressive career in PUBG Mobile esports since mid-2019. His achievements with Damwon Gaming contribute to his status as a respected figure in the competitive scene.
  5. ZZP (Han Jeong-Wook – Coach): ZZP takes on the role of coach for the lineup, bringing a wealth of experience gained from playing PUBG Mobile competitively in both South Korea and Japan over the last four years.
