In a strategic move following a challenging VCT 2023 season, Disguised (DSG), a prominent Valorant Challengers team, has announced a collaboration with BLEED Esports, the winner of Ascension and a key Pacific partner. The partnership aims to support top-tier SEA talent and bring entertaining engagements to the gaming community. This joint venture also includes plans to field a competitive Valorant team in the Malaysia/Singapore region, featuring both local talent and former BLEED Valorant players.

Disguised x BLEED Background

DSG’s Valorant journey started in 2023 under Toast’s leadership, assembling a roster of promising athletes for VCT Challengers. However, the road was tumultuous, marked by roster shuffles and ultimately the disbanding of the team. Shifting focus to the Game Changers circuit did not yield the desired results. Now, with the support of BLEED Esports, Disguised makes a strategic exit from the North American scene to venture into VCT Pacific, with aspirations to rewrite its history in VALORANT esports.

BLEED, having achieved success with an Ascension win in 2023, subsequently became a Pacific partner. While maintaining its commitment to the partnership league, BLEED aims to stay connected to its origins. BLEED COO Ian Huston expressed enthusiasm about supporting Challengers and the Malaysia/Singapore region through Valorant, welcoming Disguised’s expansion into Asia.

Strategic Collaboration

DSG’s owner and CEO, Disguised Toast, revealed a long-standing desire to expand into Asia. With plans to establish DSG as a global brand, the collaboration with BLEED aligns perfectly with this vision. Toast, who lived in Malaysia during his early years, expressed excitement about returning to the region, thanking BLEED for their support throughout the process. He teased that fans could expect DSG to visit the SEA region in the coming year.

Mutual Benefits

This collaboration extends beyond DSG’s shift to the Asian scene; it also holds strategic benefits for BLEED. While facilitating DSG’s entry into Asia, BLEED intends to leverage DSG’s connections to potentially enter the North American esports scene in the future. Beyond the competitive landscape, both organizations share a commitment to building and nurturing the esports community through engaging content.

Vision for VCT 2024

As the collaboration sets its sights on VCT 2024, the newly formed team will be a force to be reckoned with in the Malaysia/Singapore region. DSG, backed by BLEED Esports, aims to make a significant impact, showcasing talent, resilience, and a fresh approach to competitive VALORANT.
