There are many things to look forward to now that 2023 has here, not the least of which are a few games we imagined we’d be playing last year. All kinds of much-anticipated debuts, like Atomic Heart, Kerbal Space Program 2, and The Last of Us Part 1 on PC at last, are coming our way in the first quarter of the year.
For the third year in a row, we’ve observed a rise in the number of high-profile games that are ready to delay their release dates to gain a little extra development time. not even once. Some still experience several delays before they are eventually available in our game library. Given that, let’s refer to this as a speculative list of All new and upcoming games 2023.
Unavoidably, some of the names on this list will be relegated to the year 2024, which is already a terrifying number for me to have to enter. As we did the year before, we’ll be monitoring when they do right here.
2023 is predicted to be a significant year for RPGs based on what is currently known. Many popular series with long-awaited sequels plan to release this year. The early 2023 release date for Starfield, the August 2023 complete release date for Baldur’s Gate 3, and the appearance of Final Fantasy 16 and Diablo 4 are all slated.

Earlier this year, another game from the Persona series was released on PC. Persona 3 Portable is the third official version to be released, following Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royale. This goes without saying that this is another Teen Sleuths contemporary fantasy party, and one of the series’ stranger ones at that. P3’s protagonists call upon their Personas by shooting an imaginary “Evoker,” which is not a gun, at their heads. Apart from that, Persona 3 continues the time-management, intrigue, and high-school antics of the previous RPG games.

Frey navigates the wide-open spaces of Athia using a magical bracelet and some powerful magical talents. At first glance, Forspoken created a fantastic impression because of its attractive appearance, but a subsequent trailer’s excessive chatter left a less favourable impression. As soon as it reaches the streets, we’ll see how the two combine.
Dead Space Remake
Release date: January 27, 2023
Based on the brief amount of experience we had in our Dead Space preview, Motive’s remake of the beloved space horror shooter from 2008 is a fairly accurate reproduction. According to our executive editor Tyler Wilde, “The new Dead Space will play a much like the previous one, but with current visuals, fewer mid-2000s glitches, and a significantly more detailed Ishimura.” The physics puzzles and no-HUD strategy from the first game are still present, and cutting off alien limbs with a plasma cutter is still gruesomely fun.

Inkulinati, a turn-based strategy game inspired by medieval marginalia, features illustrations of animals whose flatulence is just as lethal a weapon as a greatsword or morningstar.
