The PMWI Afterparty Showdown competition will include a total of six maps for the first time in the history of PUBG Mobile Esports. The official event of the game typically includes three or four maps. This time, Tencent has added two tiny maps, Livik and Karakin, to make the contest enjoyable for spectators.
It is a part of PMWI 2022’s second phase. The first phase, in which just three maps were featured and the top five teams secured their spots in the Afterparty. Twelve teams will compete over the course of three days for a total prize pool of 1M USD, which includes a number of unique rewards.

On April 7th, 2021, the 2KM x 2KM tiny map Karakin was added to PUBG Mobile, replacing the Vikendi map. The 2KM x 2KM map Livik, another compact one, will also be played at the Afterparty. While the official version of the map wasn’t released until May 2022, the beta version of the map was incorporated into the game on July 7, 2020, as part of the PUBG Mobile 0.19 update. One unique vehicle on the map is called Monster Truck. During the PMCO 2021 Spring, the 6×6 snow map Vikendi was taken out of the official esports competitions. Since that time, the official tournament has not consistently used the map.
💪2 days until we jump into Livik and Karakin!
🤔Who do you think will dominate this 12-team lobby?

PMWI 2022 Afterparty Showdown Format
The performance of the competing teams on these three maps will be interesting to watch. The competition will be more fierce, though, as there are just 12 teams. The contest will also have a different points structure than the PMWI Main Event. The first-place finisher chicken dinner winner on each map will receive 10 placement points rather than 15. Six points are awarded to the team in second place.
