Apex Legends is a Battle Royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. The game features squad of three players using in-game characters called Legends. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation and Xbox on February 4th, 2019. (titoma.com) It was a surprise release for the gaming community because there were no notice or marketing by the developers.

Apex Legends Battle Royale has been players favourite because of the flavour it adds and few features which differ it from the other Battle Royale games. The players base has only grown since release and no other game has been able give the level of competition to Apex Legends on the uniqueness of Battle Royale.

Why Is There No Other Mode?

Its been more than 3 years since the release of Apex Legends. The game released with the ever famous mode of Battle Royale. Apex Legends, no doubt, changed what Battle Royale meant with the unique idea and speed of the game. But the question asked by the players and community is: Why is there no other mode in the game? In-spite of the game being a blockbuster, with the rating of 9/10 in IGN, and 89% in Metacritic. Why are the developers not trying other modes in the game?

The answer lies within the game. With the speed of the game and ability of the legends, modes like Quick match, Deathmatch cannot be introduced into the game. Apex Legends is known for how fast the game is and the level of reflex required in the game. With the introduction of a new short mode, it will be a downfall to the reputation the game holds. Even if we exclude the powers of the Legends in the game, the gun mechanics will not be a fit for another mode. The game is designed to be a Battle Royale from all aspects, be it the Legends, game and gun mechanics or the Legends.

It will be a huge decline if any other mode is introduced. Change is good, but we can’t change what the game stands for. Because the idea of the game restricts it to be a Battle Royale, developers cannot explore other options.
